There's plenty of videos on YT for making flock from sawdust, I wonder if you could make a natural dye from nettles etc.
Bag it up and sell on ebay, should be able to produce a reasonable side income, even if it only covers the cost of buying more seeds back from ebay :)Nick Bradhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16127175841352825227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3078806588853616263.post-43299432713613923772015-04-15T21:25:18.202+01:002015-04-15T21:25:18.202+01:00That's quite cool! I keep all the flour and sugar bags and any small boxes and fill them with the chips of wood. Then top up with a handful of sawdust to fill the gaps between the wood chips. The result is some easily made "blocks" of wood which burn well - although obviously not quite as well as a proper log. But they are made from a waste product and help stretch the real logs which we spend a lot of time sourcing for free.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16855403299773356566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3078806588853616263.post-13775764552168958622015-04-12T18:02:48.356+01:002015-04-12T18:02:48.356+01:00We use it in our car port in the winter, spread all...We use it in our car port in the winter, spread all over it helps provide a non slip surface..we also fill holes/ruts in our dirt driveway with it.
Jane xJane and Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08102086552682194819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3078806588853616263.post-59367898193842560712015-04-12T17:41:41.641+01:002015-04-12T17:41:41.641+01:00Or failing all those, burn it / smoulder it down i...Or failing all those, burn it / smoulder it down into ash...
and use that on the garden....
onions adore potash...
as do fruit trees at this time of the year...
in fact, I can't think of many things that don't.Le Pré de la Forgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02396822372095610004noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3078806588853616263.post-56012160680175794832015-04-12T17:36:49.230+01:002015-04-12T17:36:49.230+01:00An assortment of ideas....
