  3. An impressive list!
I have a Braeburn which was already in the garden when I moved here 2 months ago. I bought a tree from Lidl store and it just said, 'Malu Domesticus' on the label, the pic looks like it's mostly a red apple, though it could be a poor colour depiction! So, I've no ide if it will help with the pollination of the Braeburn, although there had been a Coxes' Orange Pippin in the garden, it had been pruned off at ground level sometime over the winter, never found the root, and I know this is a good pollinator for the Braeburn. Can't afford a new one just yet, so maybe get one in the Autumn.

  4. WOW! That is really an impressive list. Some I've heard of, some not. Pitmaston Pineapple is a must for when we move (WHEN . . .) I finally got to taste it at Ludlow Food Festival a couple of years back - scrumptious.

We have what is probably a Christmas Pippin here, something I call the Bramley (but isn't!) and a couple of dual-purpose cooker/eaters which are the ones we've just picked this last week. Very reliable they are.

I suspect you are better at pruning than me . . . not difficult!

Howgate Wonder is a nice cooker that becomes a nice eater when stored .
