The youngest two and I harvested 16 trays of apples at the weekend.
The first was winter banana, stores great, but doesn't taste good after it's been stored for very long, we'll eat these next I think.
Scotch Bridgett net, these are our main storage apples, some of last years were still edible when I chucked them out to clear the trays. October to October storage is impressive. They didn't look nice, bt were still edible.
And our favourite - russets. We have a few varieties of russets and honestly love them all. Better after a few months in the store though.
What's your favourite?

I've never tried storing apples outside of preserving them through canning or freezing. Since we have had to restart our orchard, our new one isn't producing more than the squirrels take so storing hasn't been an option. Perhaps someday in the future, I can try storing some excess to see how long they last.
