Our plot is looking pretty good this spring. After the driest winter in recorded history, I was a bit worried but we've had frequent soaking rains for nearly a month now so everything is nice and lush again. The only casualty is one of our apple fruit trees we planted several years ago didn't leaf out this spring. I have no idea what happened to it. For me, winter is a time of rest and indoor pursuits so I never set any jobs to do outside during that time, other than to keep the driveway and sidewalk clear of snow. Thanks to the dry winter, I didn't even have to do that.
