Our plot is looking pretty good this spring. After the driest winter in recorded history, I was a bit worried but we've had frequent soaking rains for nearly a month now so everything is nice and lush again. The only casualty is one of our apple fruit trees we planted several years ago didn't leaf out this spring. I have no idea what happened to it. For me, winter is a time of rest and indoor pursuits so I never set any jobs to do outside during that time, other than to keep the driveway and sidewalk clear of snow. Thanks to the dry winter, I didn't even have to do that.
I like to switch to winter mode as well, nice to have warm evenings in by the fire catching up on hobbies! The rain here is becoming more and more in big rushes, even my one neighbour has said things are changing. No snow for us this winter, or nothing note worthy anyway!
