We are a family of board game players. I think I've mentioned this before. But we all love it. That extends to my brother and sister as well and their families.
A couple of years ago I got my brother-in-law the game scythe. It's quite complicated, but each time he's down we try to get together to play it. It's fun, and never seems to play the same twice. We all love it. for his birthday this year I thought I'd get him the expansion so more people could play.
I also thought it would be fun to paint up the miniatures the set uses as well.
They are quite tricky to paint as not a high level of detail, but I still think they painted okay.
I also printed him the factory that sits in the centre as well.
He seemed really pleased with this, and now we all can't wait to play again. There is still 20 miniatures from the original set I need to paint up, so I'm hoping he'll send those across to me soon so I can get them done - until then it feels unfinished and I'll have it hanging over me!
What uber geeky board games do you play? It's a great way to have time away from a screen.
