So Tuesday it was time for my youngest daughter to start school.
|Sisters ready for school|
She was so excited about this and has been ready to start for well over a year now!
We walked to school that first morning (at her request) and I've never seen her walk so tall before as we crossed the fields. She was beaming the whole time and has been at any mention of school for the last few months.
My eldest was also really excited to be going back and seeing all her friends again, they're both social creatures!
When I picked her up that afternoon (she's on half days for a week or so to break them in gently) she took great pleasure in telling me all about it over a huge bacon and egg sandwich which she quickly devoured!
I wasn't in the slightest bit teary, but I was surprised when she asked me to come in with her (she's that confidant that I thought she'd tell me to go). Later when I was telling my wife about it and my daughter just said, without her eyes leaving the TV, "I had so much to carry, It thought it would be easier if dad came in..." Nice to know I'm wanted for something!
With two at school now it's just the boy left, but that won't be for a few years yet!
