I'm sure the kids wouldn't want me calling them playdates anymore, they just have their friends round and do stuff.
The other day was no exception, they have a group of four friends, all siblings, that they love to hang out with, their girls are the younger ones and the boys the older, but it's never stopped them hanging out together, often for whole weekends at a time.
They do split into girls and boys for a bit, often the girls will find some baking to do (this time a bit of bake off - guess the theme!). And the boys are into Warhammer and miniatures, at the moment the game MESBG (Middle Earth Battle Strategy Game) is the one they are playing a lot - I love the creativity of both and how they love to make stuff up, no screens.
By the end of the day they are normally all together playing a board game or cards, chatting and having fun. I've no doubt that when they look back at their childhood these "playdates" are ones they will remember.
