First Day At School

Some of you have been following this blog for a long time and have seen our little family grow and develop.
So I thought it's only fair that I show you this little milestone that we past yesterday - Our eldest started school!
Proud of my big girl!
She was so excited to go and was just beaming the whole day. When it came time to go, the teachers said parents could take their child inside the classroom, but when I asked her if she wanted me to she said "you can go daddy".
I held it together and didn't get too emotional.

When I picked her up later in the day she was really happy, having had a great day, and we sat over lunch with her telling me and her baby brother all about it.
Both my wife and I really enjoyed school so I hope our children will as well, so far I think we're off to a good start on that one!

  3. First day is so important on so many levels, I'm so glad she had fun. Sending your youngest to school is the hardest moment.

  8. Absolutely ADORABLE! You can see the excitement in her eyes, probably from her parents telling her what fun she will have- did she like going to school then?

  9. How exciting! I love the school uniform. Here you only see uniforms at private schools and TLC's (Traditional Learning Centres). The girls look so cute!

  10. How smart she looks in her uniform and how lovely they both look together. It's a funny feeling leaving them behind for the first time isn't it, but it sounds as though she was really ready for this big step in her life.

You do have a lovely family, you should be very proud of ALL of you.

  11. It says a lot as to how well adjusted your children are in that your school girl didn't need the "security" of good ol' dad when entering this big, new phase of her life. It can hardly be better than when it's the parent who's sniffling on the first day of school, and the little student who is beaming!
